Nicolle Chirino NBC 6 - Coconut Grove Arts Fest 2011 Preview
Nicolle Chirino - Biography

Nicolle ChirinoNicolle Chirino is a Pop/Rock/Indie singer/ songwriter. This great artist is the 3rd generation of a Latin music dynasty. Her father, Willy Chirino, is one of Miami's most beloved artists, a true Miami icon with a street named after him. Nicolle's mother, Lissette, is also a famous Latin Pop recording artist and former TV star. Nicolle's grandparents were also huge celebrities. Her 4 sisters sing and at least play one instrument. With such a lineage, Nicolle was practically born singing. She grew up with music all around her in hotel rooms with her parents, Lissette and Willy Chirino touring and performing all around the world.

Being surrounded by music since infancy naturally gave way to Nicolle exploring her musical talents through singing, writing, and playing guitar, among other instruments. At the age of 12, she was in a group called, “The China Dolls” with her younger sister, Alana, Samantha Gibb (Maurice Gibb’s of the Bee Gees' daughter), and Majandra Delfino (who debuted in the movie Zeus and Roxanne and was in the prime time TV show, Roswell). The young girls were offered record deals, but chose to split up and pursue their individual projects.

As a teenager she signed a record deal with her 4 sisters, aptly named, "The Chirino Sisters", with Crescent Moon/Sony Records. The group even won the prestigious OTI festival in 2000. After some time of playing and singing with her sisters, Nicolle left to pursue a solo career. In 2000, Nicolle signed to Universal Music Publishing Group and had cuts in Europe and Latin America. One of her songs was cut by a group in France and sold over 2 million albums.

In 2001, Nicolle decided to focus on her own blend of rock, pop, and soul music and left Miami for Los Angeles, where she spent most of her time writing and recording with various rock producers. In 2010, she returned to Miami, to share her music and many experiences she had while living in Los Angeles with her FFF's (Fans, friends and family).

Nicolle is excellent guitarist. She is a multi- talented artist with abilities for playing piano, bass, and drums, which have lead the way to her imagination to create the amazing music she writes with extremely catchy rhythms.

She has a beautiful heart and is a fearless live performer with a terrific and distinct voice and a glowing smile. You may have already heard her as the secret "ghost" vocal on a huge pop hits. She's very dedicated to her craft and career and enjoys sharing her thought thru her music to live audiences.

Nicolle performs regularly in virtually every venue in South Florida, don’t miss her next show!!!
